The Memphis Neighborhoods Flash Art Series | TallSlimCollins Merch

There are two sides to what I do. One swings a hammer and picks paint colors. The other draws flash art at 2am and makes shirts about Memphis neighborhoods. This post is about that second side — TallSlimCollins, the alter ego, the artist, the merch shop. And specifically, the Memphis Neighborhoods Flash Art Series, which now has six designs available at tallslimcollins.com.

If you found this post because you were looking for interior design or home revival services in Memphis — that’s what I do at Home Revival by Stevan Collins Lazich. This website, this business, is me. But TallSlimCollins is also me. The same eye for color and character that helps clients transform their homes goes into every one of these designs. It’s just expressed differently.

What Is the Memphis Neighborhoods Flash Art Series?

Traditional tattoo flash art — the bold outlines, ribbon banners, bright fills — mapped onto the personality of Memphis neighborhoods. Each design is a small love letter to a specific part of this city. Bold. Direct. Memphis-specific. No stock imagery. No generic skylines. These are hand-drawn designs that only make sense if you actually know these places.

Available on t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, tote bags, phone cases, and more through Threadless. Here’s the full current lineup:

1. Central Gardens Memphis — Voted Best. Again.

Central Gardens keeps winning “Best Neighborhood” in the Memphis Flyer readers’ poll. Every year. Because the houses are stunning, the sidewalks are walkable, and the people who live there will absolutely tell you about it. This design leans into that energy — lovingly, with respect. 2. Cooper-Young Memphis — Neighborhood Craftsman

Cooper-Young built itself into something from nothing. Walkable streets, local restaurants, vintage shops, front porches people actually use. The craftsman bungalows there are exactly the kind of homes I love working on. This design honors the architecture and the attitude. Shop the Cooper-Young Craftsman design →

3. Cooper-Young Memphis — The Gayborhood

Cooper-Young has long been Memphis’s most openly queer-friendly neighborhood. The bars, the community, the Pride events, the general vibe — it earned the name. This design celebrates that. Shop The Gayborhood design →

4. Orange Mound Memphis — Built By Us, For Us.

This one hits different. Orange Mound, established in 1890, is the first neighborhood in America built by and for its own Black community — 982 shotgun houses strong. When a developer was asked not to sell to Black families, he ignored the request entirely and sold lots for $40 with a 50-cent deposit. That’s the origin story. The design features an Osage Orange, ribbon banners, and classic American traditional tattoo styling — a vintage flash badge for a neighborhood that earned its legacy the hard way. A portion of earnings from this design goes to Black Lives Matter. Shop the Orange Mound design →

5. Frayser Memphis — No Pretense. No Apologies.

Frayser doesn’t perform for anybody. It’s working-class, it’s Memphis to the bone, and it doesn’t need your approval. The design reflects exactly that energy — flash art that wears its neighborhood on its sleeve without apology. Shop the Frayser design →

6. Victorian Village Memphis — Haunted By Property Taxes.

The grand Victorian mansions lining Adams Avenue are gorgeous, historic, and objectively terrifying to own and maintain. If you’ve ever walked through Victorian Village and done the mental math on what those houses cost to heat, you get the joke. Shop the Victorian Village design →

TallSlimCollins vs. Stevan Collins Lazich — What’s the Difference?

Here’s the simplest way I can put it: Stevan Collins Lazich is the person who comes to your house in Memphis, figures out what’s wrong, and makes it right. Home Revival is the business. It’s real work — color consulting, furniture sourcing, repairs, staging, handyman services. If you need your house to feel like a home, that’s my number.

TallSlimCollins is the alter ego. The artist. The online persona. The one making shirts and drawing flash at 2am because Memphis deserves to be documented with attitude. You can find everything TallSlimCollins at tallslimcollins.com — one clean link to the merch shop and the Home Revival site. Same brain. Same eye. Different output.

Both are real. Both are Memphis. One will fix your crown molding and the other will put it on a t-shirt.

And if your home needs some revival — not a shirt, but actual work done — let’s talk. That’s what this site is for.
